On a recent visit to San Antonio with the family, we found a fun, festive and delicious place to dine. Mi Tierra is located in the Mercado district, and we enjoyed it very much. This restaurant was opened in 1941 by Pete and Cruz Cortez. It has grown to quite a large venue, decorated with brightly colored lights all year long. Mariachi bands wander through, and you can not help but feel festive when you are there.
Naturally, we sampled the margaritas… yum! We chose our usual favorites: tacos, enchiladas and fajitas. All were great. Afterwards, we got baked goods at the Mi Tierra bakery. That was a nice way to end our evening.
